About Denise Greene LCSW RPT-S, CAS

Denise Greene LCSW, RPT-S graduated from the University Of Louisville Kent School Of Social Work in 1998. She earned her Registered Play Therapist in 2004 and now supervises future therapists. Denise has worked in both private and public elementary schools providing therapy services to children. She has provided outpatient treatment to both adults and children, treating trauma victim’s and helping families heal from negative life events for over 20 years in Kentucky and Indiana. Denise has worked with multiple individuals who struggle with mental health and developmental disabilities. The youngest client with which she has worked was 18 months old and the oldest was 78 years old. Denise uses an innovated and progressive approach to therapy in order to meet the unique needs of her clients and their families. She uses traditional therapies along with EMDR, Sand Tray Therapy and Play Therapy. Denise is a Certified Autism Specialist and is Level II Aut Play Certified. She has worked in both Community Mental Health and Private Agencies gaining training and expertise. She is familiar with procedures, daily routines and student expectations in JCPS elementary schools. She is able to aid children with emotional problems cope in the school environment and works with teachers to better understand the children’s unique behaviors so that the children can be successful. Denise opened her own private practice in Louisville in October 2013 and is located in St Matthews off Shelbyville Rd. where she continues to serve Women, Children and Families.

Denise is now trained in Tele-Therapy with families, women and children. She is now uses Tele-Play and virtual sandtray over the internet using all of the previous methods of therapy.
